Fly Fishing: The Art of Deception Exhibition
Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Redding
Presented by our friends at The Fly Shop of Redding, Fly Fishing: The Art of Deception celebrates the beauty, the mystery and the historical significance of north state fly-fishing. Explore a pastime rich in history, artistry, and one that has spawned a worldwide industry unlike any other.
In addition, every Saturday and Sunday from January 28 to April 15, tyers from STFF will be demonstrating fly tying from noon to 3 p.m.

Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers Fly Tying Expo
Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Redding
The Fly Fishing expo will have tyers from northern California and Oregon with morning (10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and afternoon (1 – 3:30 p.m.) sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be hands-on activities this weekend including fly tying and casting.
Every Saturday and Sunday during the Fly Fishing: The Art of Deception expo (January 28 to April 15) tyers from STFF will be demonstrating fly tying from noon to 3 p.m.

Northwest Fly Tying & Fly Fishing Expo, Albany, OR
The Northwest Expo has been heralded as the “largest fly tying event west of the Mississippi." Come to the Expo and be part of the crowd of fly tyers and fly fishers building their knowledge and seeing old friends. At the Expo you will have the opportunity to:

FishCamp Scholarship Deadline
A five-day summer adventure for 10-15 year old girls and boys, FishCamp teaches kids the art of fly-fishing, fish habitat, entomology, fly tying and other outdoor skills in a safe and friendly environment. The camp is conducted by The Fly Shop of Redding.
Again this year the Shasta Mayflies and the Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers are co-hosting an essay contest for kids from Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity Counties. Full scholarships to FishCamp will be awarded to up to six deserving contest winners.

IWFF Gathering, Miramichi River, New Brunswick, Canada
As early as the 19th century, anglers using the fly-fishing technique, have flocked to the Miramichi in pursuit of trout and the King of freshwater sport fish, the Atlantic Salmon.

IWFF Gathering, Vuollerim, Sweden
Vuollerim – a Sami name that means “the downstream calm water between more rapid streaming waters” – is located at the point where the little and big Luleå rivers join and then flows to the Baltic Sea. It is one of Sweden’s largest and most treasured rivers.
